A continuation of Dog and Cole’s story. Every hero has to have a costume. This is the second part of my plan to introduce the concept of a larger world around the heroes. It’s still meant to be funny, sort of toeing the line of satire. But there is more than one kind of satire, too…

The A-List, Ladies and Gentlemen
Another shorty story in the same world as Dog and Cole. However, here I introduce a couple of the “A-list” heroes going about their day-to-day lives. An attempt to combine funny and cool. I tried to satirize a couple super hero cliches here, but it might take another story or two for that to be obvious. Or maybe I’m not nearly as subtle as I think I am.
Before they were Legends, Part 2
The second chapter. Not a lot of our actual protagonist until near the end, but I still try to establish her character more through Heron’s eyes even when she’s absent. I also want to drive home exactly what sort of person Mildred has managed to earn the loyalty of. I try to keep the humor going even when the story takes a turn for the dramatic.
Revision (It Was Just a Little Scrap, Really)
I cleaned up “It Was Just a Little Scrap, Really” a bit. I am currently almost done with two other short stories, both related to previous stories. For one I just need to come up with a couple names and I can put it up.
Anyway, I wanted to post something in the meantime, even if it’s just this.
